Why is there a “Meet & Greet”?

During this complimentary appointment we will meet with you and all of your pets.  The appointment usually lasts about 15-30 minutes.  At this time we will discuss the pet services you are interested in, so we can tailor our services to your specific needs.  We will ensure that all of your questions are answered and all of the necessary paperwork is filled out.

Why do you need two set of keys to my home?

 

We require two set of keys in case there is an emergency with your regular walker, and to ensure that your dog is always walked on time.

Do you do group walks?

 

No. We only do one-on-one walks with the same daily dog walker.  We want your dog(s) to receive the best quality individualized attention for the entire walk.

Do you have boarding facilities?


Not at this time. However, we do offer in home vacation care. We find this is a lot less stressful on your pet.

Will you let my dog off their leash?

No, we will not. It is Chicago law that dogs must remain on their leash when in a public area, including parks.

Do you require a walk minimum?

No. We believe everyone should be able to have their dog walked on an as needed basis. We are here to be flexible when your schedule is not.

What if I need an emergency pet care service?

We always do our best to accommodate emergency or last minute visits, but we cannot always guarantee service.

What is your cancellation policy?

How do I schedule my pet’s walks or visits?

All walks and visits are scheduled by you online. Once you sign up for our service you will receive a login and password. When logged in you can manage and schedule your pet’s walks or visits and you will receive a confirmation email when your request is approved within 24 hours.

Do you work on weekends and holidays?

Yes.  We are here for you 365 days a year. However, we do suggest advance scheduling during holidays to guarantee availability. Also keep in mind that holiday and weekend rates will apply.

What forms of payment do you accept?

All payments are auto billed and processed every Sunday night through our online automatic payment system, and at this time only Visa® and MasterCard® are accepted. We do not accept checks or cash.

Do you run background checks on your employees?

Yes, here at Little Paws Dog Walking we pride ourselves in the hiring of our walkers. They go through multiple interviews, which include background checks for any criminal charges, and are tested in the field before they ever start working with your pet officially.
